OVS (Open Value Subscription)
Most education establishments have an Open Value Subscription agreement (OVS). It is a cost-effective agreement that allows a school to manage their on-premises Microsoft licenses.
It important that your agreement is up to date and compliant with Microsoft’s and DfE guidelines. An OVS agreement can last for a 3-year term, to price fix, allowing you to save money. Or a 1-year renewal for flexibility if you are looking to move to the cloud. The OVS is perfect for small to mid-size organisations and the Minimum requirement is 5 users or devices.
A key benefit when having an OVS agreement is having Software Assurance included (automatic rights to new versions, training, and deployment tools). Each agreement has its unique agreement number, which will be unique to your School, which will be managed through a Microsoft Partner.

Microsoft OVS ES Agreement for Quotation
By providing us with your unique OVS V Agreement number will allow us to retrieve your licensing details directly from Microsoft. This ensures that we quote based on the correct licensing codes and quantities, giving you an accurate and competitive offer. Once we have this information, we can also help simplify your licensing and identify any potential savings.
You are welcome to request OVS pricing at any time—well in advance of your renewal or anniversary date. We can also provide indicative pricing to give you an idea of our competitive rates to help you with budgets and preparation.

CSP (Cloud Solution Provider)
Most Education Establishments will have a Cloud Solution Provider agreement ( CSP). This modern licensing agreement is a subscription-based model that can be both monthly and yearly. This agreement is partner managed through a reseller and is easy for you to manage and utilise. To qualify for Education Pricing, you must be a qualified educational institution.
There are a wide variety of products available to Education including Windows 11 Education, Intune for Education, Minecraft: Education Edition, Azure for Students (separate, limited usage), M365 A3 & A5. CSP is managed via the Microsoft Partner Centre. The partner handles the billing, support, license provisioning and changes.
